First session for beginers start in September,
Thursday 9/1 and
Friday 9/2
Thursday 2:30-3:30pm
Friday 4:00 - 5:00pm
RG-II start Tuesday 8/30 and Thursady 9/1
3:30 - 5:00pm
Both classes are running at Carrillo recreation Center Ballroom,
(100 E.Carrillo St.)

Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that combines elements of gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation (such as the ball, rope, hoop, clubs and ribbons).The addition of music adds enjoyment to the sport. It helps to guide the movement of both the gymnast and the apparatus.As a sport, it demands that gymnasts be strong, flexible,agile, and possess a good coordination.

As a competitive sport, Rhythmic gymnastics started in the former Soviet Union during the 1940's. It was recognized by the International Gymnastics Federation in 1961. World Championships have been conducted since 1963 (Budapest, Hungary). The first Olympic Games to feature rhythmic gymnastics was in 1984 in Los Angeles, USA.

About program

Gymnastics Classes for kids of 6 - 10 years old.
Classes are divided into two levels of echievement.

  • Introduction to Rhythmic Gymnastics
  • Rhythmic Gymnastics II
Boys are welcome for Introductions classes.

Dress code

Students are required to wear a leotard with footless tights or spandex shorts to every class. Hair must me pulled away from the face. No long, hanging ponytails or jewelry is allowed. A MAKE-UP CLASS WILL NOT BE GRANTED FOR THAT PARTICULAR CLASS.
